Haupt FX (Pty) Ltd
Is a forex, commodity and indices trading company, which specializes in trading the capital markets. We specialize in the following asset vehicles; forex, oil, gold and indices. Farrell founded the firm in 2009 as Haupt Forex Service CC and changed it to Haupt FX (Pty) Ltd in 2016, believing that trading is teachable and reproducible skill after reading the story of the Turtle Traders by Michael Covel, relating the Richard Dennis’ story. In an industry rife with “gurus”, our company pursues a reputation of honesty and transparency.

Farrell Haupt - Owner and Founder
Was born in 1965 and is active in the financial markets for the last 22 years, He specialize in foreign exchange (forex) trading and only in the last few years started expanding to oil, gold and indices. His trading is 100% manual, as he prides himself being old school wanting to be in control of executing and managing his trades.

He now looks upon his first 5 years in the market as the expensive forex “university” years, no mentor, no strategy, all trial-and-error. His only motivation was that if one person can do it, then he can too. Persistence, motivation and pure “madness” drove him to persevere. He is trading full time for the last 7 years and enjoying every bit of his life. He has developed many strategies, but for the last 10 years have been only using the 3 most profitable and successful strategies,

Besides his personal accounts, he also manages 3 managed accounts on behalf of family and friends. Farrell resides currently in Cape Town, South Africa, where he endeavours to improve the financial positions for the less fortunate and privilege. Janine Chamberlain - PA and Senior Trader
Janine Chamberlain comes from a company who specializes in Engineering and Electrical, where she was an administrative clerk for 5 years. She was head-hunted by Farrell and accepted a post at Haupt FX in March 2021 as a Personal Assistant to Farrell Haupt.

During her first year of working for Haupt FX, she has grown rapidly and with her newly acquired skills, she also became a capital markets trader. Working in the Forex Trading field was a big challenge for her, as it was a new industry for her, but was/is willing to learn and expand her knowledge, not only how to trade but also learning new things in her day-to-day life. She is a highly organized individual and follows procedure. She has proven herself to be an asset and a key individual in the operations in the company.

Julian Kevany - Trader
Julian Kevany was appointed at Haupt FX on 1 January 2022.

Following completion his compulsory National Service term, he began to work in the private sector in 1991 at Telkom. There, gaining experience by wearing many hats in various roles of administration.
In 2010 I chose to pursue a career in the Hospitality Industry and was privileged to work at some exceptionally good Hotels in Cape Town as well as two stints in Mozambique.

In 2019, I was afforded the opportunity to move to Durban and assume a position of General Manager at a cleaning company based on the South Coast of Durban in KZN. However, after 1.5 years, Covid related restrictions crippled the hospitality industry and I, find myself, along with many other people were left to find alternative ways to make an income. Thus, my interest in engaging in the trading industry where I find myself now. I look forward to the journey with Haupt FX and carving a niche in the industry. Julian has shown exceptional aptitude and excelled in his 3-month internship prior to him being employed permanently.

Kaylin Haupt - Trader
Kaylin was appointed at Haupt FX on 1 March 2022.

At the age of 21 Kaylin dropped out of university at the start of her second year to pursue a career in the financial markets. Under the guidance and mentorship of her father, she has evolved into a full-fledged forex trader.
Intimidated to enter the working world with little to no experience, she saw the potential of trading through her training, which allowed her to grow not only as a trader but as a person. What drove her to pursue trading as a full-time job is her goal of wanting a flexible day-to-day lifestyle, as well as becoming financially independent.
Kaylin is managing a third of the company’s AUM and has doubled her portfolio since the start of her employment. She is an asset to the company and will reach her full potential in the years to come.

Strategy

Our approach to trading is to let the market lead us in the direction it is going by looking at it coldly and mechanically and let price action leads us. All trading decisions are based on formulas and calculations, which are underpinned by inflexible trading rules, which governs and manages open trades. Human emotions in trading are eliminated by this approach.
At Haupt FX, we are governed by our rules, which allows us to take those niche trades, which others fear to trade. Our long-term trades is a mixture of trend following and breakout actions of price.
